Day 1: Pick up from hotel in Uyuni or airport and departure to the Train Cemetery, an abandoned railway complex from the 19th century. Continue visiting the Colchani village, a small local center of salt factories where handcrafted process is possible to observe. Drive into the Uyuni Salt Flats, the largest and highest in the world. It resembles an impressive, overwhelming and solitary white ocean in which below the surface is largely saturated by water creating the eyes of salt, interesting underground water exits; the salt polygons, geometric shapes on the surface and the salt mounds, signs of the daily mineral extraction. Picnic lunch in the middle of the salt flats. Continuing onward, visit to the largest island in this ecosystem, Incahuasi, populated with giant cacti species that measures up to 40 feet in height, providing impressive contrast and panorama of the place. At the end of the day, watch the sunset immersed in a horizon of amazing and ethereal colors. Transfer to hotel in Uyuni town.

Day 2: Departure to the Magic villages of Sud Lípez, the south region outside the Salt Flat; San Cristobal village is known for be a mine center village. After that we visit the Rock Valley, a group of big red rocks which form an interesting landscape.  We continue to the Lookout of Ollagüe Volcano, where you can watch its activity and a desert landscape. Lunch on route.  After that, we take a look to the “Joyas Andinas”, Andean Jewelry, small lagoons, which show biodiversity of the region. Transfer to the rustic lodge in Ojo de Perdiz.

Day 3: An early departure from the hotel to begin the visits: the Stone Tree, silent testimony of the erosion of the earth and the passage of the years, part of the Siloli Desert, flatland without vegetation that gives rise to the Reserve Eduardo Abaroa where we visit the Red Lagoon which is an amazing proof of a very diverse ecosystem in a totally desolate weather. We continue to the visit to the geysers “Sol de Mañana”, Morning Sun, its name is due to the activity is more notorious in the morning. Also visit the hot springs of Polques, hot water eyes due to the volcanic activity of the region. Lunch on route. The Green Lagoon, unique for the active microorganisms that give color to the water. Transfer to hotel in Uyuni town.

Day 4: Breakfast and transfer to the airport.

NOT INCLUDED: Dinners, tips and personal expenses

  • Rainy Season: from January to April. Due to the flooding, vehicles will reach the safest places and Incahuasi Island, Tunupa and all the north side cannot be visited. Sometimes, this happens in May too.
  • For Carnival, Christmas and New Year Holidays, prices will be increased.
  • Guided in French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Japanese and other languages ​​have an additional price.
